Of all of the man made obsessions, weight loss has to be the biggest. It concerns everyone, one way or another and so we as a world obsess about it. We judge people with it and it has become a stereo type, but the truth is weight has so many dimensions. Some people have diseases; which cause weight gain and cannot be helped and then others just have an addiction to food; which can be helped, but with all of the amazing food available, they do not want to be helped.
Everywhere you look, they are advertising this supplement and that supplement; which will help you look like a supermodel or even a movie star and the consumer is buying every bit of it. In a lifetime, we probably spend thousands of dollars on dieting, whether it is through supplementation or weight loss programs and most of the time none of it works. It is simple really; watch your caloric intake and exercise, be active in your daily life. Yes, I know it seems easier to say than to actually do it and it really is not easy. Managing your weight, for those who have weight issues, is difficult and takes a lot of discipline and determination, but once you start a healthy and active lifestyle, you will continue with that lifestyle.
Either way dietetic companies keep making their money of people and their insecurities, so just make sure that if you are trying to lose weight, it is for you and not because of society and what others think of you.
